I’m not the one they call Pivo.
I played with him once, and got very lucky in a key hand where I flopped top pair with my A4 against Pivo’s JJ. He played his cards well, but was unable to fold against my tricky drunk play. I realized I got lucky against one of Belgium’s most extravagant poker players, and decided to quit while I was ahead.
Ever since that day, I’ve been a Pivo Poker fan. I try to get into the Pivo-Zone whenever I play, and his book has helped me tremendously in my game.
I’m a better player thanks to Pivo, and that’s why I’ve named my personal poker blog after him. It’s a shrine.
